About Us

Gatherday has existed for six years as a dialogue between two friends, Tyler Heath and Rich Speeney, as they’ve considered ways to mobilize social connections. What you see today is the formalization of these conversations and the perspective shifts that have occurred along the way. 

Gatherday is currently in its pilot phase. Our goal right now is to experiment and learn how we can best mobilize people to gather in meaningful ways. Tyler and Rich are funding the programs personally, as we are not accepting donations until we’ve further demonstrated the effectiveness of our systems. Femi Obadina and David Abraham have played a critical role in helping to build our technical infrastructure along the way. In addition, we’re fortunate to have had many others participate in pilots rounds and provide key feedback.
